Transcendental Meditation In A Therapeutic Context

In this talk we will examine how restful changes in the electrical activity of the brain during the practice of Transcendental Meditation heals both the brain and nervous system and knits together the functioning of the left and right hemispheres of the brain,through shared synchronous alpha and theta brain-wave frequencies.
We will refer to Dr.Serena Grosswald's Preliminary study of teenagers with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD),cured within four months without the use of Ritalin or other prescribed drugs.
Finally, we will watch a video recording of a talk in London by the psychiatrist Dr. Norman Rosenthal, who experienced huge benefits, physically and psychologically for himself and his patients when he introduced the use of this very easy technique, practised 20 minutes twice a day.

The Healing Power Of Sound

Since the inception of our universe (the Word) and thus ourselves all the worlds we experience, visible and invisible, are composed of vibrations or frequency patterns.
All is in harmony except humanity which has the power to move out of alignment from this harmony.
A key to moving into alignment is to apply pure sound to our energy fields.
In this presentation James will explore the avenues that could be applied as sound healing.
A good portion of the time will be spent experiencing what it is like to use the voice as a transformative instrument.
James D’Angelo, PhD has been leading courses to empower people to heal themselves through sound since 1994 in Europe and the USA. A musician and composer, he is the author of The Healing Power of the Human Voice and the recently published Seed Sounds for Tuning the Chakras.
