+ So far, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! (02/10/2008 - 09:32:32)
+ WOW! What a night... (11/09/2008 - 10:08:15)
Hi everyone,
It's been a while now since my first blog entry so I thought it was about time I updated you on progress at the group. Well we have now had 4 guest speakers - William Bloom, Leo Hawkins, Mhairi Kent and then last night John Wadsworth and I can honestly say that each and every one has brought a very different energy to the group and been fascinating to listen to. (And I have to say that John Wadsworth's presentation last night was particualrly special. We were serenaded by celtic harpist Martin Solomon as the group gathered and also at various times during the evening which was a real treat so thank you Martin.) It seems that the group has been very well received in Glasto and apparently fills a much needed gap in the 'alternative' market which as you can imagine is music to my ears! What is also lovely is that already there are a few regulars which again gives me great pleasure as one of my main aims was to provide a place where people felt relaxed and comfortable enough to come back again and again. (I know I know, it's all those yummie biscuits I provide afterwards isn't it??!!!) It is also very encouraging that each week there are new faces too with the group's average attendance being around 30 and it is my hope that the group grows and grows and becomes a permanent and well known fixture on the Glastonbury calendar.
So to finish I would just like to thank all of you for your wonderful comments and feedback and also to those of you who have sent emails. It really does mean a lot and confirms that what I am doing is worth while and that's all that matters to me!
So until we meet again...
Happy days!
Love Liz :)
Good morning everyone, Liz here and welcome to the very first Glastonbury Positive Living Group Blog.
...Well what can I say? For those of you who came along last night to hear William Bloom's talk 'Three Golden Keys', I am sure like me, you thoroughly enjoyed the evening and hopefully took away something meaningful to you. I certainly did and as always was provided with plenty of food for thought. And I am also sure you will agree that it was a phenomenal start to the Positive Living Group - THANK YOU WILLIAM. (I think though that if William ever gives another talk at the group I may need to hire the large hall as the small hall was practically bursting at the seams!) There was over 80 of us crammed into the Small Hall last night which as a rule is only supposed to hold 50 peeps MAX!!! (Health and Safety and all that!) Which leads me on to an apology I must make to a couple I somewhat abruptly turned away last night, I am sorry. It was around 7.40pm and it was when William was doing the minutes silence and I guess I just kinda panicked, plus the fact that there really was NO ROOM AT THE INN, so once again I am sorry. However all in all, it was a truly fantastic evening and I am already looking forward to next Wednesday when the lovely Leo Hawkins will be giving his talk 'Live an Abundant Life and Live it NOW!' Sounds good to me - see you there!
Happy Days!
Love Liz :)
